Use pattern redirects to keep visitors on relevant pages.
Pattern redirects use a Javascript-based redirect in the browser to redirect visitors from any broken links hat match a completely custom URL structure to a single destination URL, or to different URLs based on a new structure.
Visits to pattern redirects use up your plan allowance. Learn more about usage allowances and changing your plan.
If a detected broken link matches a pattern redirect and an automatic redirect, the pattern redirect will take priority in creating a URL redirect for the broken link. Similarly, an individual 301 redirect will take priority over both automatic and pattern redirects.
Pattern redirects use 'wildcard tokens' that represent one or more unspecified characters in a broken link. You can use up to 5 wildcard tokens in a single pattern redirect.
For example, a Redirect from URL of /products/⑴
would redirect any broken product page, where ⑴
is a wildcard token representing any product name URL slug.
After creating a pattern redirect, you can test it's working by visiting a broken link on your store which matches the Redirect from URL structure.
If your pattern redirect isn't working, you can learn why this might be the case.
Redirect Pro does not support bulk editing of pattern redirects.
You can delete individual pattern redirects, or multiple at once. Note that this action can't be undone.
